It's time for your annual flu shot - by appointment only!


Please call the office at 519-836-9440 to schedule an appointment.


You may also visit your pharmacy for a flu shot or contact Public Health at 1-800-265-7293.

If you do receive a flu shot elsewhere, please contact our office to let your physician know.  


Other Ways to Avoid the Flu:


While the flu vaccine is your best defence against catching the flu, you should also take the following steps to protect yourself and your community:


  • Wash your hands often with hot water and soap
  • Use an alcohol-based hand sanitizer
  • Stay home from work or school if you feel sick
  • Cover your mouth and nose when you sneeze or cough
  • Disinfect common surfaces frequently
  • Avoid touching your face

What is the Flu?

Influenza (commonly known as the flu) is a contagious respiratory illness caused by flu viruses.


It can cause mild to severe illnesses, and in some cases can lead to death. Between 10-20% of Ontarians get the flu each year.


The flu typically comes on suddenly, with some or all of the following symptoms:


  • Cough
  • Sore throat
  • Runny nose
  • Fever (or feeling feverish/chills)
  • Achy muscles
  • Headache
  • Fatigue
  • Vomiting and/or diarrhea
