Flu Shot Clinics

2023 Flu Shot Clinic Info

All of our Flu Shot Clinics are now full. If you are looking to get a Flu shot, please reach out to your local pharmacy or Public Health.

Please note, if you already have an in-office appointment booked in the coming weeks, the Flu Shot will still be offered to you during your visit, if you wish to receive it.

In addition, Moderna COVID booster doses will be offered based on availability and eligibility. Please advise our nursing staff upon your in-person appointment if you would like to receive the COVID booster with your flu vaccine.

If you have already received your flu shot at a pharmacy or other facility, please leave us a voicemail (by pressing 5 from the main menu) and provide your name, date of birth, name of pharmacy/other facility, whether you received the high dose vaccine, and the date you received it. This will allow us to record and update your chart.

Other Ways to Avoid the Flu:

While the flu vaccine is your best defense against catching the flu, you should also take the following steps to protect yourself and your community:

  • Wash your hands often with hot water and soap
  • Use an alcohol-based hand sanitizer
  • Stay home from work or school if you feel sick
  • Cover your mouth and nose when you sneeze or cough
  • Disinfect common surfaces frequently
  • Avoid touching your face

RSV VACCINE INFORMATION

Important note: More information will be provided in the coming weeks from the Ontario Ministry of Health. It is expected the vaccine will be available at pharmacies and Public Health. Please check back at wdgpublichealth.ca for further updates.
